Established in May 2018, O-Men-Daj-Ou began its journey in Taipei with the "Life of Salaried Men" series. Driven by a pure passion for the performing arts, the members write, direct, and perform every production themselves, totaling 10 original works to date. We steer away from complex plots, focusing instead on high-energy Manzai (stand-up comedy) and hilarious sketches. By using relatable everyday themes, we create resonance and laughter, making our shows a top choice for weekend entertainment.
Beyond the stage, we have built a massive digital presence with over 400,000 subscribers on YouTube. We are among the few groups that have successfully bridged the gap between online viral content and live theater experiences.
Though the title "Life of Salaried Men" suggests a workplace setting, it is truly about the broader spectrum of "human relationships within society." Our comedic philosophy is simple: take what is logical in life and make it illogical; or take something slightly absurd and make it utterly ridiculous.
Our principle of comedy is clear: No metaphors, no hidden symbols. Every performance is a "straight-ball" delivery—direct and unapologetic. Our goal is for the audience to immerse themselves without any mental strain. We invite you to: Leave the office behind, and step into the theater.
